As a traveler, one certain detail can sometimes slip our minds until we’re confronted with it during our stay: the presence (or absence) of toiletries and sanitation tools in hotel bathrooms. Recently, a trend has emerged that raises eyebrows among guests: the noticeable lack of toilet brushes in hotel rooms across the UK and Ireland.
During my travels last year, I found myself in three different hotels in Ireland, followed by a stay in a rather upscale establishment in London. To my surprise, three out of these four accommodations did not provide a toilet brush in the bathroom.
