Planning an Epic Adventure: Discovering Knight Experiences in UK Castles for Children

As parents, we all strive to create unforgettable memories with our children, and when facing a challenging situation, those memories become even more precious. I’m in the midst of planning a truly magical getaway for my 5-year-old son, Arthur, who is preparing to start chemotherapy. To lift his spirits, I’d love to immerse him in everything knights and King Arthur. We’re eager to find castles across the UK that offer exciting knight experiences specifically tailored for children.

A few years ago, I explored numerous castles across the UK, but my focus was different at that time, and I didn’t pay much attention to child-friendly activities. Now that we’re on the lookout for places where young ones can dive into the fantasy of being a knight or a princess, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have. Are there castles that not only host exciting activities but also offer overnight stays?

As part of our journey, we plan to spend some time in London, where Arthur is keen to see iconic landmarks like Tower Bridge and Big Ben. Additionally, we are considering a trip to Edinburgh, as Arthur has expressed a strong desire to climb Arthur’s Seat—a name that holds special significance due to his own.
