London in Infrared
I recently transformed an old Sony A7 into an infrared camera and had the chance to test it during the final days of nice weather. I thought the Reddit community might enjoy the unique results that infrared photography can produce!
I plan to take the camera out during the summer to explore and capture even more intriguing images through a different spectrum of light.
For those curious, the conversion process involved removing the IR cut filter from the sensor and investing in IR filters for the lens, along with some IR chrome filters that create stunning color variations in foliage like leaves and grass. If you’re interested in learning more, I highly recommend diving into the countless YouTube videos on the topic—I certainly did!
That sounds like an incredible project! Infrared photography can create such unique and surreal images, especially in a vibrant city like London.
