Any ladies that would like to ride Regents/Richmond laps together and follow the races? Beginner friendly

Looking for female cyclists interested in riding laps in Regents and Richmond Parks while occasionally catching some races!

As mentioned, I’m hoping to gather a group of women for fun, beginner-friendly rides around these parks. We can explore local pastries and coffee spots, and plan to visit Via Atelier or Rapha during race days. This would be a weekly and weekend activity.

Pace: Social and beginner-friendly.

I’d love to host these rides and connect with other women! If you’re interested or know someone who might be, feel free to DM me!

P.S. This is all about bikes!

  1. This sounds like a fantastic opportunity for women to come together and enjoy cycling in a supportive environment! I love the idea of combining rides with coffee breaks and watching races together. It’s a great way to build community while also improving our cycling skills. I’m definitely interested in joining the group! I’ll DM you to connect further. Excited to ride and explore pastries with everyone! 🚴‍♀️☕️🎉

  2. What a wonderful initiative! Creating a supportive and enjoyable environment for female cyclists is so important, especially for beginners. Riding in a group can significantly enhance the experience, making it not only safer but also more fun. I love the idea of incorporating local pastries and coffee spots—this adds a lovely social aspect to the rides!

Additionally, have you considered organizing skill-sharing sessions or workshops for bike maintenance? This could empower newer cyclists and build confidence in handling their bikes. Perhaps even inviting guest speakers or local female cycling role models could inspire the group further.

Looking forward to seeing this community grow and hearing about the fun adventures you all embark on! Happy cycling! 🚴‍♀️✨

  3. Sounds like a Wonderful Initiative!

As a fellow London cyclist, I think this is a fantastic idea! Creating a supportive community for women to ride together not only enhances our cycling experience but also encourages more women to get on bikes, which is so important.

Here are a few suggestions to enrich our rides and make them even more enjoyable:

    • Safety First: It may be beneficial to conduct a brief safety briefing before we start, especially for beginners. Highlighting key signals and safe riding practices can help everyone feel more confident.
    • Themed Rides: How about having themed rides? For instance, we could have a “Coffee and Cake” ride where we focus on different local cafes each week or even introduce a ‘Scenic Route’ ride to explore parts of London we might not typically see.
    • Skill Sharing: Some of us may have different levels of expertise. Perhaps we could dedicate part of the ride to practicing certain skills, like cornering or riding in a group, to help everyone improve.
    • Social Media Group: Creating a private Facebook or WhatsApp group for communication could be helpful. It would allow us to share our favorite routes, racing news, or even post-ride photos!

Looking forward to joining you all
