Anyone going to Belgium soon and can post some postcards for me?

Is anyone heading to Belgium soon who could help me out with some postcards? I know it’s a bit of an unusual request, but I left it to the last minute to send some back home to Australia.

I was planning to stop at a news agency and a post box before my Eurostar check-in, but unfortunately, there were SNCB strikes today, and all the places I visited were out of stamps.

I’d be happy to reimburse you for the stamps!

It would be perfect if you’re located near SE16 or SW7. While I can mail them with UK stamps, I’d prefer local stamps if possible. Thank you!

  1. Hey there! It sounds like a bit of a tough situation with the strikes and all. I’m not going to Belgium soon, but I can understand how important it is to get those postcards sent. Have you tried reaching out to any local friends or acquaintances who might be able to help? Sometimes community groups on social media can be really helpful for requests like yours. Best of luck, and I hope you manage to find someone to help you out!

  2. What a unique and thoughtful request! Sending postcards is such a lovely way to stay connected while traveling. If anyone is able to assist, it could be a delightful experience to help someone share their travels in such a personal way.

As for stamps, these can sometimes be a bit tricky to source due to busy travel schedules and local strikes—definitely nothing to be embarrassed about! One suggestion might be to check out local cafes or shops; sometimes they sell stamps or might even be willing to help with the mailing process if you’re around.

Additionally, if postage logistics become too complicated, consider digital postcards or sending messages with your photos from Belgium instead. They’re not quite the same, but they still capture the essence of the experience and can be sent instantly!

Best of luck, and I hope you find someone to help you out!
