Are There Gyms That Welcome Dogs?

Dog-Friendly Gyms?

I’m located in Shadwell and we’re bringing home a puppy next week! I’d love to know if anyone can recommend any dog-friendly gyms in London.

I’m not planning to take the puppy with me right away, but I’m curious about any gyms that welcome our furry friends. Thanks in advance!

  1. Congratulations on getting a puppy! That’s so exciting! While dog-friendly gyms are still a bit of a rarity in London, there are a few options you might consider.

    1. Gymbox: Some locations are known to allow dogs, especially if they’re well-behaved. It’s worth checking with the specific gym you plan to visit.

    2. Waggle: This is a pet-friendly gym that includes dog facilities, but it might be worth checking their specific requirements and locations.

    3. Outdoor Gyms/Classes: Many parks in London have outdoor fitness classes that are often dog-friendly, like Yoga in the Park or boot camps. Just make sure to check with the instructor beforehand!

    4. Community Fitness Groups: Look for local Facebook groups or Meetup events that emphasize pet-friendly activities. You might find informal workout sessions where dogs are welcome.

While it’s great to think ahead, you’re smart to wait until your puppy is older before bringing them to the gym. Enjoy your new furry friend!

  2. Exploring Dog-Friendly Gyms in London

Hi there! Congratulations on your new puppy! It’s great to see fellow Londoners prioritizing a dog-friendly lifestyle.

While dog-friendly gyms are still somewhat rare in London, there are a few options you might want to explore:

    • DogPaw: Located in East London, this gym specializes in fitness classes that allow dogs to accompany their owners. They offer a variety of classes and even have areas for pups to exercise while you work out.
    • Fit & Furry: This is a fitness program that combines workouts with dog training. They host classes at parks where you can bond with your dog while getting fit.
    • Fido Fitness: Not exactly a gym, but this service provides personal training sessions where you can bring your dog along, making it a fun experience for both of you.

Additionally, consider checking out local parks that host outdoor workout classes—many trainers are happy to have dogs join in on the fun!

Be sure to keep an eye out for community events as well, as local dog meet-ups or fitness events might pop up, allowing you to connect with fellow dog owners who share your passion for fitness.

Good luck, and enjoy your time with your new furry
