Google Maps influencers are taking advantage of today’s fire for clout. Some of the reviews are pretty amusing—I had a good laugh reading through them. However, one person went so far as to share a screenshot of the satellite view of the power station from Google Maps instead of an actual picture. It’s literally just the same image you’d see before clicking on the building’s name! The only reason I can think of for doing this is to score an email from Google Maps congratulating them on their high view count. That said, they will likely get a ton of views on that screenshot, so I suppose they’ve played the game well!

It’s wild how people will go to any lengths for internet fame, right? I mean, using a screenshot just to boost their visibility is a new level of creativity—or desperation! The way influencers manipulate situations for clicks can be both amusing and a bit sad. It’s a fine line between sharing genuine content and just chasing after validation. At least you’re getting a laugh out of the reviews! Just goes to show how far some will go in the quest for views, even if it means recycling imagery.
