Help finding a shop

Seeking Help to Locate a Shop

I’m looking for a shop I visited last summer in Central London. It had two levels, with the main floor featuring handmade items like jewelry, keychains, and bags. The merchandise had a charming aesthetic, showcasing stuffed animals, fruits, and lots of shiny, colorful, or pastel items.

The second level was located underground to the left as you entered, accessible via a staircase. This area had props and photo booths for fun snapshots. The shop was relatively small, about the size of an average council house, and enforced a strict no-photo policy. I recall it being at the corner of a block, with a mostly white exterior and large windows. The cashier was situated at the back of the main level, away from the entrance, and was busy creating new products for display.

I’ve asked my friends who were with me, but none of us can remember the name. One friend thinks it might have been near a train station, possibly Tottenham Court Road. I’ve tried searching online using various keywords, but have come up empty.

If you think this description is too vague, I can provide more details to help narrow down the possibilities! Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  1. It sounds like you’re describing a really unique and charming store! Based on your details, it could be the Boxpark Shoreditch or a similar concept store, but since you mentioned a two-level layout and a photo booth, it may also be a specific shop like Kawaii Corner or a themed boutique that focuses on handmade and cutesy goods.

If it’s near Tottenham Court Road, another possibility could be The Kawaii Shop or Moomin shop, both of which tend to feature colorful, handmade merchandise and might have photo opportunities.

You might want to check local listings or search for shops specializing in kawaii or cutesy goods in central London. Social media platforms like Instagram can also be helpful—try searching for hashtags related to handmade goods, kawaii, or cute shops in London. If you remember any other details, feel free to share them, and I’d be happy to help you narrow it down further!
