I am going to London for 2 days, and I need your help.

Seeking Tips for Our Weekend Adventure in London

Hello, fellow travelers!

I’m excited to share that I’ll be heading to London soon for a short two-day trip with my partner and my in-laws. This journey is particularly special because we’re fulfilling a long-held dream of my mother-in-law to visit this iconic city. Although my partner and I have explored London twice already, we’re looking forward to showing her the sights.

Due to our work commitments, we’ll only be in the city from Friday evening until Sunday night. We plan to check out the usual landmarks, but I’d love your input on my itinerary to see if I’m missing anything or if there are any hidden gems worth visiting.

Friday Evening

Upon our arrival at 8 PM, we’re planning to grab a quick dinner at a nearby Pret a Manger before heading to our Airbnb to settle in. After dinner, we’ll take a leisurely 10-minute walk to see the iconic Big Ben, a must-see for both tourists and Londoners alike.

Saturday Excursions

Saturday will be an action-packed day! We’ve booked tickets to Westminster Abbey for 9:30 AM, which I’m thrilled about. Post-visit, we’ll stroll over to Trafalgar Square before hopping on the Tube to Camden Town for lunch.

Following our meal, we plan to take the Tube to Embankment station. From there, we’ll enjoy a scenic walk through Leicester Square, Neal’s Yard, Chinatown, and finally, we’ll end up in Piccadilly Circus. I realize that’s quite a bit of walking, but I’m ready to embrace the hustle and bustle of the city!

Sunday Discoveries

On Sunday, we’ll start early, making our way to Notting Hill Gate to see the famous colorful houses. While my partner and I feel this stop might be overrated, my mother-in-law is eager to check them out, so we’ll make it happen.

After snapping some photos, we’ll head to Kensington Palace and then to Harrods on Brompton Road—another location my mother-in-law is particularly excited about—to conclude with a leisurely stroll to Buckingham Palace.

From Buckingham Palace, we’ll take the Tube to the Tower of London before heading to the airport.

Seeking Your Suggestions

I’m open to any suggestions you might have! Is there anything we should consider adding or removing from our itinerary? I would also love recommendations for spots that offer a more local
