Is O2 WiFi any better on the Underground? I’m currently with Three, and it’s extremely slow.
Hi everyone,
I commute into London frequently and depend on WiFi while on the Tube. Right now, I’m using Three, and while I can connect to the Underground WiFi, it’s so sluggish that it’s hardly usable for anything aside from basic messaging.
I’m considering switching to O2 since I’ve heard their O2 WiFi is available in shops and also works on the Underground.
Is the WiFi experience with O2 any better underground? Do you notice a significant improvement compared to Three?
I’d love to hear from anyone on O2 who uses the Tube often! 🙏
Thanks in advance!
Hey there!
I can definitely understand your frustration with slow WiFi on the Tube. When it comes to O2 WiFi, many users report a better experience compared to Three. O2 has invested a lot in their underground infrastructure, and many commuters find that their connection is faster and more reliable.
A few things to keep in mind:
Network Coverage: O2’s coverage on the Underground is generally quite good, especially in busy areas. Many users have reported that they can stream music or send larger files without much hassle.
Speed: While it can still vary based on the time of day and the specific location, many users have noted a noticeable improvement in speed over what they experienced with Three.
Access: O2 adds an additional benefit of being able to use their WiFi in various shops and public spaces as well, which might come in handy.
User Feedback: Check out forums or local groups for real-time feedback from users in your area. It’s always good to see what others are experiencing.
Overall, while there’s no guarantee that your experience will be perfect, many users have found O2 WiFi to be a significant upgrade. If you’re heavily reliant on connectivity during your commute, it might be worth making the switch!
Good luck, and I hope you find a solution that works for you! 🚇😊
