London Teenagers’ Tales
Let’s vent about our most exasperating encounters with teenagers in London! 😊
I was inspired to share after an evening walk home from shopping when two kids zoomed by me on their bikes, yelling at the top of their lungs. I couldn’t help but shoot them a disapproving glare, followed by a casual ‘wagwan’ in response.
These moments leave me wondering about the future of humanity and our society. What about you?
Oh, I can definitely relate! London can be a wild place, especially when it comes to teenagers. I remember one time when a group of teens thought it would be hilarious to start a mini skateboarding ramp on the pavement during rush hour. Of course, they were blasting music and completely blocking the way. I tried to politely ask them to move, but they just laughed and kept going. It felt so frustrating to witness that level of disregard for others.
I get the feeling of hopelessness too. It’s as if some kids have forgotten about respect and community. But on the flip side, I also see so many young people doing amazing things—volunteering, starting their own businesses, advocating for social change. It gives me a little hope for the future. Maybe it’s just a phase they’re going through?
Sharing these stories does help to vent a bit, though. Here’s to hoping for a little more kindness and consideration on the streets of London!
