What shows happening around London right now are something that blew you away or felt like a must see??

What amazing shows are currently playing in London that absolutely blew you away or felt unmissable? I’m visiting the city in the first week of May and would love to catch a performance while I’m there! With so many theaters to explore, it’s a bit overwhelming to see what’s available. I’d appreciate any recommendations for productions you’ve seen or heard about that are receiving rave reviews—I’m open to all genres, so send whatever you think is a must-see! I’d prefer to avoid picking something at random, as I want to ensure it’ll be a worthwhile experience.

Additionally, I’m open to suggestions for non-theater activities as well! If there are any exciting events, comedy clubs, or other activities happening, I’d love to hear about those too! We even looked into catching a football match, but sadly the only game during our stay is on the day we arrive. Still, we’re definitely interested in anything sports-related!

I know it’s a broad request, but I’m not too familiar with London and there seems to be so much to explore! A bit of insider knowledge would be fantastic.

Just for reference, we’ll be based around the King’s Cross area but are more than willing to travel a bit for great experiences!
