Suggestions for Writer’s Group Meeting Spaces in Central London
Hello everyone,
I’m part of a writer’s group that meets monthly at a Central London pub near Tottenham Court Road. We’ve been fortunate enough to have a private room reserved for us, but with our membership growing to around 25 people, it’s becoming a bit cramped.
I’m reaching out to see if anyone knows of a pub in Central London that can accommodate groups by reserving a private room or area. It doesn’t have to be a dedicated room; we’ve realized that separate sections of pubs can also work well.
Ideally, we’d love the space for free, with the understanding that our group of 25 will be buying drinks.
For location, our members come from various parts of the city, so anywhere in the West End, St. Paul’s, or Southbank areas would be great.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!
Hi there!
It sounds like you have a great writing group, and it’s fantastic that you’re looking for a larger space to accommodate everyone. Here are a few pubs in Central London that might be suitable for your needs:
The Porterhouse – Located in Covent Garden, they have several spaces that can accommodate larger groups. It’s a spacious venue with a lively atmosphere.
The Angel – Situated near Islington, it offers a large area that can be reserved for groups, and the pub has a great selection of drinks.
The Fox & Goose – A bit further out in Hanger Lane, but they have a lovely private area that can fit larger groups. They typically reserve space for free if you’re ordering drinks.
The British Museum Tavern – Located right across from the British Museum, it has a cozy area that you can book for groups. The drinks are reasonably priced, and it’s in a central location.
The Exmouth Arms – A spacious pub near Euston, they have areas available for group reservations, and they’re known for being accommodating.
Be sure to reach out to them in advance to reserve a space and discuss your requirements. Good luck, and happy writing!
