Limited Time in London: October 26th – Booked Some Places, Please Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Quick Trip to London: Seeking Accommodation Advice

I’m gearing up for a brief visit to London on October 26th and could use some insights on my accommodation choices. I’ve booked a few spots and would appreciate your thoughts on whether I made the right decisions.

My first stop is the O2 Arena for a show, and I’ll be staying above The Pilot pub for that night. I thought this would be a convenient option given my plans.

Beyond that, I’ve also secured reservations at a few other charming locations: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Since I tend to sleep quite well even in noisy environments, I figured opting for smaller accommodations above pubs might add to the experience, especially for a short trip like this.

I’d love to hear if you think I’ve made any missteps in my selections. Your feedback would be invaluable!

Thanks in advance for your help and insights!

  1. Great choices for your London short stay! Here are some additional insights that might help you make the most of your trip:

Staying above The Pilot pub near the O2 Arena is a practical choice for convenience, especially if you’re attending a show there. Just keep in mind that pub accommodations can sometimes be lively and noisy, so if you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might enhance your comfort.

    Regarding your other accommodations:

    • The Princess Royal in Notting Hill: An excellent neighborhood known for its charming streets, boutique shops, and vibrant markets like Portobello Road. It’s a bit further west, so plan your transport options accordingly.
    • The Orange in Belgravia: A prime location near many embassies, luxury shops, and excellent dining. It offers a more upscale experience and convenient access to central London.
    • The Grazing Goat in Marylebone: A trendy area with great cafes, restaurants, and easy access to transport links like Baker Street station.

Additional tips: Consider transport options such as Oyster card or contactless payment for ease of travel around the city. Also, exploring some less touristy spots like Camden Market, Little Venice, or Hampstead Heath can offer a more authentic London experience during your brief visit.
