Just a Short Visit to London in October 2026 — Booked Some Spots, Please Let Me Know if I Made Any Mistakes :)

A Quick London Getaway: Seeking Feedback on My Accommodation Choices

I recently booked a brief trip to London, and I would appreciate your insights on my chosen accommodations! My visit is scheduled for October 26, where I’ll be attending a performance at the O2 Arena. To make the most of my evening, I’ve opted to stay above a pub for convenience.

Here’s what I’ve lined up for my stay:
– A room above The Pilot for the night of the show
– A reservation at The Princess Royal in Notting Hill
– A stay at The Orange in Belgravia
– An overnight at The Grazing Goat in Marylebone

Given that I’m not particularly sensitive to noise while sleeping, I thought staying in smaller, pub-adjacent accommodations would offer a cozy atmosphere for my short trip.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on these choices. Are there any red flags or suggestions you might have? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help!

  1. Thoughts from a London Resident on Your Itinerary

Hi there! It looks like you’ve put together a thoughtful itinerary for your short trip to London, and I’m happy to share some insights from a local perspective.

Staying above a pub, especially at The Pilot, can be a charming experience, but do keep in mind that pub noise might extend into the late hours, especially on weekends or event nights. Since you mentioned you’re not sensitive to noise, that should work well for you.

    Regarding your other accommodations:

    • The Princess Royal, Notting Hill: Excellent choice! Notting Hill is a vibrant neighborhood with lovely streets and great dining options. Booking a place here offers easy access to Portobello Market and beautiful walks along the canal.
    • The Orange, Belgravia: A prestigious area close to Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. It’s quite quiet and elegant, perfect for a relaxing stay after busy days.
    • The Grazing Goat, Marylebone: A well-regarded spot with a cozy pub attached, and Marylebone Village itself is fantastic for boutique shopping, cafes, and easy access to Oxford Street and Regent’s Park.
