Limited Time in London this October 26 — Booked Some Spots, Please Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: A Short Stay with a Pub Twist

As I prepare for my upcoming trip to London on October 26, I’m excited to share my itinerary and gather any insights or advice from fellow travelers. My visit is primarily centered around attending a show at the illustrious O2 Arena, and I’ve opted for some unique accommodations that I hope will enhance my experience.

For my stay in London, I’ve secured a room above the Pilot pub for the night. I thought this location would be convenient, considering its proximity to my main event. Additionally, I’ve booked stays at a few other charming spots: the Princess Royal in Notting Hill, the Orange in Belgravia, and the Grazing Goat in Marylebone.

I tend to be a sound sleeper, so I’m not overly concerned about potential noise from the pubs. Since this is a brief getaway, I figured a smaller lodging option above a pub would provide a lively atmosphere while still ensuring a comfortable visit.

That being said, I’m eager to hear your thoughts on my choices. Did I make some wise selections or veer off track? I appreciate any feedback or tips you might have!

Thank you for taking the time to read my post—your insights mean a lot!

  1. Great itinerary and choices for your London trip!

It looks like you’ve planned a well-rounded visit with a nice mix of lively atmospheres and charming neighborhoods. Staying above a pub like the Pilot in central London will definitely give you that authentic and vibrant London experience, especially if you’re looking to soak up the local pub culture after the show.

Since you’ll be near the O2 Arena, I recommend checking out the Greenwich area if time allows—it’s not far and offers a beautiful riverside setting with maritime history, plus some excellent pubs and cafes. Also, for your stays in Notting Hill, Belgravia, and Marylebone, you’re hitting some of London’s most iconic and stylish neighborhoods, each with their own unique vibe.

    • In Notting Hill, don’t miss the Portobello Road Market—great for antiques and street food.
    • Belgravia offers a more refined atmosphere, perfect for relaxing in its charming squares and upscale eateries.
    • Marylebone provides a fantastic blend of boutique shops, cafes, and cultural sites like the Wallace Collection.

Regarding your accommodation above pubs, it’s usually a lively choice, but since you’re a sound sleeper, it should suit you well. Just keep in mind that some pubs can get busy in the evenings, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea just in case.

    Enjoy your trip
