Just a Short Visit to London in October 2026 — I Booked a Few Spots, Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: A Quick Getaway Itinerary

I’m excited to share my upcoming trip to London in late October, specifically on the 26th, where I’ll be attending a show at the O2 Arena. As part of my adventure, I’ve lined up a few accommodations, and I would love to get some feedback on my choices!

For the night of the show, I opted to stay above The Pilot, a cozy pub that seems perfect for a brief visit. Additionally, I’ve reserved spots above several other establishments that caught my eye: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone.

Given that I’m not particularly sensitive to noise, I thought it would be a great idea to stay in these smaller, vibrant spots – especially since they’re all located in lively areas of the city.

I’m curious to know if anyone has suggestions or if I may have made any missteps in my planning. Your insights would be greatly appreciated as I finalize my itinerary!

Thank you for taking the time to consider my travel plans!

  1. Great itinerary! As a London resident, I’d love to share some tips to make your trip even more enjoyable.

Staying above bustling pubs like The Pilot and others in lively neighborhoods is a fantastic choice to soak up authentic London atmosphere. Just a quick tip:

    • Noise considerations: Since you’re not sensitive to noise, you’ll likely enjoy the vibrant energy. However, if you find it a bit loud, look into earplugs—they can be quite handy for a restful night without missing out on the ambiance.
    • Transportation: The areas you’ve chosen—Notting Hill, Belgravia, and Marylebone—are well-connected via London Underground. Consider getting an Oyster card or contactless payment setup for convenience and savings.
    • Local attractions: While in Notting Hill, don’t miss the Portobello Road Market! In Belgravia, you might enjoy a stroll through Belgrave Square, and Marylebone offers charming cafes and boutique shops. These spots add extra flavor to your visit beyond the main attractions.
    • Dining: In each neighborhood, look out for local eateries—they often serve fantastic, authentic cuisine that isn’t always listed in tourist guides.

Enjoy your trip—London is a city that truly offers something for everyone, especially in these vibrant areas. Safe travels and have
