A Short Getaway in London: Seeking Advice on My Accommodation Choices
As October approaches, I’m excited to embark on a brief trip to London, specifically for a show at the iconic O2 Arena. I’ve made some preliminary accommodations and would love to hear your thoughts on my choices!
On the night of my event, I’ve decided to book a room above The Pilot. Staying above a pub seemed like a convenient and cozy option to enjoy the atmosphere of the local scene right at my doorstep.
Additionally, I’ve secured lodgings at a couple of other charming spots: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each of these hotels has its unique appeal, and I thought they’d offer an authentic experience during my short stay.
I’m generally a sound sleeper, so I believe that any noise from being above a pub won’t bother me too much. However, this is a new adventure for me, and I want to ensure I’m making the best choices with my limited time in this vibrant city.
If you have any suggestions or insights regarding my selected accommodations, I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Thank you in advance for your help!
Great choices for your London trip! As a fellow resident, I’d like to share some insights that might help enhance your experience.
Staying above a pub like The Pilot can definitely add to the local charm, and many find that the lively atmosphere can be quite enjoyable—especially if you’re a fan of authentic nightlife. Just keep in mind that noise levels can vary, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea if you’re a particularly light sleeper.
Regarding your other accommodations, Notting Hill at The Princess Royal is a fantastic choice—it’s a lovely, picturesque area with a relaxed vibe and great access to markets and cafes. Belgravia, near The Orange, is more upscale and quiet, perfect for a more refined experience. Marylebone, home to The Grazing Goat, offers a charming village feel with excellent dining options and good transport links.
