Upon arrival, I found a cozy space featuring an astonishing 1:2000 scale 3D map of London, along with a more detailed 1:500 model specifically highlighting the City of London. The elegance of these models truly brings the city to life, making it easier to appreciate the intricate details and layouts of our vibrant metropolis.
During my visit, an enthusiastic guide captured the room’s attention with his spirited comment, stating, “No one even knows about this place.” While there was a hint of drama in his delivery, he might have been onto something. This hidden gem certainly doesn’t get the attention it deserves!
Whether you have a few minutes to spare or are planning a longer excursion, this spot is ideal for a brief yet enriching visit. Afterward, you’ll find yourself just a stone’s throw away from iconic destinations like Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane, where you can treat yourself to some fantastic food. I’d especially recommend stopping by Basils near Bank—though it lacks seating, their sandwiches are a delightful must-try!
