My days off are like this

Embracing My Days Off: A Personal Routine

Days off can be a sanctuary, a well-deserved break from the hustle and bustle of work life. For me, my time away from work is a cherished routine that I have come to appreciate. Here’s a glimpse into how I spend my days off.

Each day begins leisurely at 7 a.m. I find joy in taking my time, often indulging in the soothing glow of my phone as I scroll through Reddit for hours on end, typically until around 11 a.m. It’s a simple pleasure, allowing me to connect with diverse ideas and conversations from around the world before stepping into my day.

Once I finally get out of bed, the gym calls my name. I dedicate a solid part of my afternoon to physical fitness, not returning home until around 3 or 4 p.m. After an invigorating workout, I savor a fulfilling lunch—one of life’s little joys.

As the afternoon lazily unfolds, I might treat myself to one to three beers, embracing a state of relaxation on my sofa. It’s my time to unwind, often accompanied by my phone as I enjoy the ease of my surroundings.

It’s worth noting that my body feels the toll of my job—spending five consecutive days as a waiter typically involves strenuous hours, ranging from 9 to 11 hours a day. I clock an impressive average of 24,000 steps during my work week, yet on my days off, that number drops to a more manageable 10,000.

Some might find my routine a bit melancholic, but for me, it’s a source of happiness. There’s a certain comfort in the predictability of my leisure time, and I relish every moment of it.
