I Have a Short Visit to London in October 2026—Booked Some Spots, Please Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: A Quick Stay Above the Pubs

As my trip to London approaches on October 26th, I’m filled with excitement about all the experiences awaiting me. I’ve organized a few accommodations for my visit and would love some feedback on my choices.

One of the main highlights of my trip will be attending a show at the iconic O2 Arena, which promises to be a fantastic evening. To make the most of my stay, I decided to book a room at a pub located just above The Pilot in Canary Wharf for that particular night. It seems like a cozy and convenient option given its proximity to the venue.

In addition to my first night in Canary Wharf, I also secured reservations at several charming establishments for the remainder of my visit. These include The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each of these spots has its own unique character and appeals to my desire for a more intimate experience while exploring the vibrant city.

I’m generally a sound sleeper, so noise isn’t a concern for me. I think staying in smaller venues above pubs can offer a delightful ambiance and a taste of local life during a short trip. However, I’d appreciate any thoughts or suggestions you might have regarding my accommodation choices.

Thank you in advance for your insights, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the charm of London!

  1. Great itinerary for your London visit!

As a London resident, I think you’ve selected some excellent spots that offer a real taste of the city’s diversity and charm. Staying above a pub in Canary Wharf is a smart move—it combines convenience with a typical London pub atmosphere, which truly enhances the local experience.

For your stay in Notting Hill, The Princess Royal is a lovely choice, especially if you appreciate a cozy, authentic vibe. In Belgravia, The Orange is a charming boutique accommodation, and Marylebone’s The Grazing Goat offers a fantastic blend of sophistication and comfort. Each area provides a different facet of London life, making your trip well-rounded.

Since noise isn’t a concern for you, I’d suggest exploring some lively neighborhood pubs or local markets nearby—places like Portobello Road Market or Marylebone Village can add to your authentic London experience. Also, consider using nearby transport hubs like Canary Wharf or Paddington for easy access across the city.

Enjoy your trip, and don’t forget to leave a little room for spontaneous discoveries—London’s hidden gems often make the best memories!
