Exploring London: Recommendations for a Short Stay
As I prepare for my upcoming trip to London on October 26th, I’m excited yet slightly anxious about my accommodations. I have secured several spots for my visit, and I’d appreciate any feedback on my choices.
My main reason for this trip is to catch a show at the iconic O2 Arena, and I’ve decided to spend the night above the Pilot pub, which seems like a lively place to stay.
In addition, I have also booked a few other charming locations: the Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and the Grazing Goat in Marylebone.
I tend to be a sound sleeper, so I’m not overly concerned about potential noise; I thought that staying in smaller, more intimate settings above pubs would enhance my short visit.
If anyone has suggestions or insights about these places, or if you think I’ve made any missteps with my selections, I would greatly appreciate your thoughts!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
Great itinerary for a short London trip! As a local, I’d love to share a few tips to help you make the most of your stay.
Firstly, staying above pubs like the Pilot can definitely add to the authentic London vibe, but do keep in mind that some pubs can get quite lively, especially during weekends or event nights. If you’re a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea.
Regarding your choice of locations:
Since your main goal is the show at the O2 Arena, I recommend planning your transportation in advance. The Jubilee Line from Westminster or London Bridge can get you there efficiently. Also, consider using Oyster or contactless payment cards for smooth journeys.
