I Only Have a Small Window in London in October 2026—Booked Some Activities, Let Me Know If I Missed Anything! :)

Exploring London: My Upcoming Trip Itinerary and Accommodations

As I gear up for my upcoming visit to London on October 26, I wanted to share my itinerary and seek some advice from fellow travel enthusiasts. I’m particularly excited about attending a show at the iconic O2 Arena, which has been on my bucket list for quite some time.

For this trip, I opted for a few unique accommodations that offer a local experience. I’ll be staying above a pub, The Pilot, on the night of the event. There’s something charming about the idea of resting in a lively atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to enjoying a bit of London’s vibrant nightlife right outside my door.

In addition to The Pilot, I’ve also made reservations at a couple of other interesting spots: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each of these locations has its own character, and I’m keen to explore the different neighborhoods. My thought process behind choosing smaller venues above pubs is that I generally sleep well, even amidst a bit of noise. For such a short trip, I feel a cozy, intimate setting would enhance the experience.

With that said, I would love your feedback. Have I chosen wisely, or are there better options I should consider? Your insights would be greatly appreciated as I finalize my plans. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

  1. Sounds Like You’re Going to Have a Fantastic Short Stay in London!

As a London resident, I think your itinerary offers a wonderful blend of iconic venues and charming local neighborhoods. Staying above a pub like The Pilot is a true London experience—there’s something special about falling asleep to the hum of the city and waking up to the buzz of local life.

Regarding your accommodations and plans, here are a few suggestions and insights that might add value to your trip:

    • O2 Arena Show: If you haven’t already, consider booking your transportation in advance, especially for the evening event, as London’s nightlife can get busy. The Jubilee Line or nearby DLR stations are usually convenient for reaching the O2.
    • Nearby Attractions: Depending on your schedule, a quick visit to the nearby Greenwich area or a walk along the Thames might add some scenic variety to your trip.
    • Neighborhood Exploration: Notting Hill and Marylebone are lovely areas with great cafes and boutique shops. For a slightly more lively vibe, Camden Town or Shoreditch are fantastic options for experiencing London’s eclectic side.
    • Dining Recommendations: While your booked venues are excellent choices, don’t miss out on local pubs and eateries in each neighborhood for authentic, relaxed meals. For instance, in Notting Hill, try some of the cozy cafes
