Just a Little Time in London on October 26—Booked Some Spots, Let Me Know if I Made Any Mistakes :)

A Quick London Getaway: Is My Itinerary on Track?

I’m gearing up for a brief visit to London on October 26, where I’ve arranged a few accommodations near some exciting spots. If you have a moment, I’d appreciate your insights on my choices!

My main reason for visiting is to catch a show at the O2 Arena, and I’ve decided to stay above The Pilot Pub for the night. It seems like a cozy option!

Additionally, I’ve made reservations for a few other locations: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. My thought process was that since I typically sleep well despite some noise, opting for smaller places above pubs could enhance my short stay experience.

I’m curious if any of you think I might have made a misstep with my selections. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!

  1. Great itinerary for a brief successful London visit!

As a London resident, I think you’ve made some thoughtful choices, especially with your accommodation locations. Staying near The Pilot Pub above The Orange in Belgravia and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone ensures you’re well-positioned to explore several iconic areas without too much travel time.

However, a few tips to maximize your experience:

    • Transport: Consider getting an Oyster card or contactless payment method to smoothly navigate the Tube and buses. This will save time and money, especially if you’re planning to hop around different neighborhoods.
    • Local Highlights: Since you’re in Notting Hill and Marylebone, don’t miss their charming streets, boutiques, and cafes—perfect for a relaxed morning or afternoon stroll.
    • Dining: While the Pub above The Pilot sounds cozy, you might also want to explore nearby local eateries for authentic British or international cuisine.
    • Show at the O2 Arena: Check transportation options in advance—London Underground, DLR, or river boats could help you avoid any last-minute rushes for your show time.

Overall, your choices seem well-balanced and thoughtfully planned. I hope you enjoy your brief London adventure—sounds like it will be memorable!
