Limited Time in London in October 2026 — Booked Some Spots, Please Let Me Know if I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: Seeking Feedback on My October Plans

I’m excited to share my upcoming trip to London, scheduled for October 26th, where I’ll be attending a show at the O2 Arena. As I’ve only got a brief time in this vibrant city, I wanted to finalize my accommodations and would appreciate your thoughts on my choices.

For my stay, I’ve booked a room above The Pilot, conveniently located for my night out. Additionally, I’ve reserved places at a couple of other charming spots: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone.

I tend to sleep well even in lively environments, so I figured staying above a pub for this short visit would offer an authentic experience while keeping things cozy and manageable. That being said, I’m open to suggestions or advice—did I make any missteps with my choices?

Thank you in advance for your insights; I’m looking forward to soaking up all the energy London has to offer!

  1. Great plans for your London trip! Here’s a bit of insight from a local resident.

Since your visit is quite brief, focusing on a mix of well-located neighborhoods is a smart move. Staying above The Pilot in the City offers a lively yet convenient base, especially if you’re attending an event at the O2 Arena, which is easily accessible via the Jubilee Line from nearby stations.

Notting Hill, Belgravia, and Marylebone are all fantastic choices that showcase different facets of London:

    • Notting Hill: Vibrant, eclectic, with charming streets and the famous Portobello Road Market. Great for exploring boutique shops and cafes.
    • Belgravia: An upscale area with elegant streets and high-end dining options—ideal if you want a more refined atmosphere.
    • Marylebone: Central, with a cozy village vibe, lovely boutiques, and the Harley Street medical precinct—perfect for wandering and casual dining.

Considering your plan to stay above a pub, it should provide a very authentic experience. Just ensure you’re aware of noise levels if you’re planning early mornings or late nights, though most pubs in London tend to close by midnight, which helps with sleep hygiene.

If you want to optimize your short stay, think about how much travel time you prefer each day
