Limited Time in London in October 2026: Made Some Bookings—Please Let Me Know If I Got Anything Wrong :)

Exploring London: A Quick Trip Itinerary and Accommodations

As I gear up for a brief visit to London on October 26, I’m excited to share my plans and seek some advice from fellow travelers. I’ve managed to book a few accommodations across the city, and I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions to enhance my stay!

My journey begins at The O2, where I’ll be attending a show, and for convenience, I’ve decided to stay above The Pilot for the night. This venue choice seems ideal for a vibrant evening close to the event.

Additionally, I have arranged to stay at several other charming spots during my trip: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each location has its own unique character, and I’m eager to explore the neighborhoods they inhabit.

Given that I tend to sleep quite soundly, even amidst some noise, I thought it would be a delightful experience to choose smaller accommodations above local pubs. This should add a touch of authenticity to my stay while making the most of my limited time in the city.

However, I want to ensure I’m on the right track with my choices. If anyone has advice or feedback regarding these locations or suggestions for hidden gems to explore, I would be grateful for your input. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

  1. London Resident’s Perspective: Enhancing Your Visit Experience

It’s great to see your enthusiasm for exploring London! As a local, I’d like to share some insights that might help you make the most of your trip.

    • Accommodation Choices: Staying above a pub can be charming and authentic, but be mindful of potential noise late into the night, especially if you’re a light sleeper. The pubs in Marylebone and Belgravia are generally lively, so picking rooms further from the main pub areas or requesting a quieter room might be beneficial.
    • Neighborhood Highlights: Since you’re staying in Notting Hill and Marylebone, consider exploring local gems beyond the usual spots:
    • In Notting Hill, take a walk along Portobello Road Market and enjoy boutique cafes.
    • In Belgravia, stroll through some lesser-known gardens and admire historic townhouses.
  2. Hidden Gems and Recommendations: For your free time, I recommend visiting:
    • The Leighton House Museum in Kensington for stunning architecture and art.
    • Kew Gardens if you have a bit of extra time for beautiful botanical displays.
    • Local pubs with a genuine community vibe, like
