Just a Little Time in London on October 26th — Booked Some Spots, Please Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: My Upcoming Adventure and Accommodation Choices

As I prepare for my trip to London in late October, I am excited to share some details about my plans and would love to hear your thoughts. I have booked a few spots for my visit, and if you have any feedback, I would greatly appreciate it!

I will be attending a show at the O2 and have decided to stay at a cozy spot above the Pilot Pub for that evening. My itinerary also includes stays at a few charming establishments: the Princess Royal in Notting Hill, the orange in Belgravia, and the Grazing Goat in Marylebone.

One of the reasons I opted for these accommodations is my ability to sleep soundly, even in noisy environments. For a brief trip, I thought staying somewhere intimate above a pub would enhance my experience rather than opting for a more conventional hotel.

If you have any insights or suggestions about my choices, please let me know. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to your feedback!

  1. Great itinerary! A few tips for your London trip

It sounds like you’ve chosen some fantastic and characterful spots to stay — staying above a pub can really add to the local experience, especially if you’re comfortable with the lively atmosphere. The Princess Royal in Notting Hill is a charming choice, and the Grazing Goat in Marylebone offers a lovely mix of boutique comfort and proximity to great shopping and dining.

Given your interest in a vibrant yet cozy atmosphere, I’d also recommend exploring some local hidden gems nearby, such as:

    • Portobello Road Market in Notting Hill — perfect for antiques and vintage finds.
    • Wallace Collection in Marylebone — a stunning art collection housed in a historic townhouse.
    • Borough Market — if you have some free time to venture across the river for excellent food experiences.

I just wanted to mention that if noise levels at the pub above your accommodation become too lively, you might consider requesting a room at the back or on a higher floor for a quieter sleep. Also, if you’re attending the O2, the Jubilee Line from North Greenwich station offers a quick and straightforward route – very convenient!

Overall, your plan sounds well thought out, blending local

  2. Excited for Your London Adventure!

It sounds like you have a well-thought-out itinerary and some fantastic accommodations lined up. Staying above the Pilot Pub should give you a lively and authentic London experience, especially if you enjoy a bustling pub atmosphere — just be prepared for some street noise.

    Regarding your choice of neighborhoods:

    • Notting Hill: A charming area full of boutique shops, markets, and a relaxed vibe. Perfect for leisurely mornings.
    • Belgravia: Known for its elegant streets and historic buildings. Great for experiencing classic London style.
    • Marylebone: Offers a lovely blend of chic boutiques, cafes, and the famous Sherlock Holmes Museum—ideal for exploring on foot.

Since you mentioned sleeping soundly despite noise, I suggest bringing earplugs or a white noise app just in case. Often, pub accommodations can be lively—yet many find it adds to the London charm!

If you’re attending the show at the O2, consider traveling there via the Jubilee Line or Thames Clippers for a scenic route—both are quick and pleasant options.

Enjoy your trip! London always has something new to discover, and your curated selections should give you a lovely taste of the city’s diversity.
