A Culinary Delight: Experiencing D&K Gambian Rotisserie
Recently, I had the pleasure of trying D&K Gambian Rotisserie, and it was truly a memorable culinary experience. Known for its bold flavors and authentic recipes, this establishment offers a taste of Gambian cuisine that is both satisfying and vibrant.
During my visit, I ordered the roasted chicken served with potatoes, which was priced at £11. The chicken was beautifully seasoned, tender, and bursting with rich flavors, complemented perfectly by the crispy potatoes. Additionally, I opted for the jollof rice accompanied by vegetables, costing £6.50. The jollof was generously flavored, featuring a harmonious blend of garlic, ginger, and an array of aromatic spices that added depth and complexity to each bite.
The dishes were remarkably flavorful, with the prominent presence of garlic and ginger, alongside other herbs and spices that I couldn’t quite identify but appreciated nonetheless. The portion sizes were hearty enough to comfortably feed two people, with some leftovers to enjoy later.
Please note that at the Forest Gate location on Saturdays, the restaurant does not offer seating, so I took my meal to go. However, the chef and team are also present during the week at their Stratford location, which I believe is at the outdoor market on Broadway, providing additional opportunities to experience their delicious offerings.
