Celebrating Film History with a Guinness World Record Attempt in Greenwich
Greenwich is set to host an exciting and historic event this September, as it aims to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people dressed as film and television characters. This unique celebration coincides with the nationwide Celebrate Film 100 initiative, honoring a century of cinematic milestones and storytelling excellence.

How to Participate
To qualify as part of the Guinness World Record attempt, attendees must be dressed as one of 45 designated characters. These characters are drawn from 30 iconic productions filmed at the historic Old Royal Naval College and Elstree Studios, including globally renowned titles such as Star Wars, Bridgerton, Batman, and The Crown.

Accessibility and Transportation
Please note that the Cutty Sark DLR station is currently closed until Spring 2026. However, visitors can still conveniently access the event via the nearby Greenwich DLR station, which is co-located with Greenwich rail station.
Alternatively, attendees can take the bus route 177 from the Thamesmead direction, alighting at the Cutty Sark bus stop C. Arriving by ferry is also a popular option, offering scenic views of the Thames and an enjoyable journey into Greenwich.
