Heading to the UK for ~2 weeks, how’s my itinerary?

Crafting the Perfect UK Itinerary: Seeking Your Insights

As my wife and I prepare for an exciting trip to the UK next month, we’re eager to gather some feedback on our proposed itinerary. We’re an American couple in our mid-30s and want to ensure that our plans are well-structured yet flexible enough to embrace the charm and excitement of our destinations.

Day 1: Arrival in London
We’ll kick off our journey with a flight into London, ready to dive into the rich history and vibrant culture of the city.

Days 2-4: Exploring London
Over the next three days, we plan to immerse ourselves in all that London has to offer. From iconic landmarks to hidden gems, there’s no shortage of sights to see and experiences to be had. One must-do on our list is the highly-anticipated Harry Potter tour, which my wife is particularly excited about. I’ve noticed that tickets are selling quickly, so I want to secure our spot soon.

Day 5: Journey to York
Following our London adventure, we’ll take a train to the historic city of York, which promises a blend of fascinating architecture and medieval charm.

Days 6-7: Discovering York
We’ll spend two days soaking in York’s picturesque streets, indulging in local cuisine, and perhaps visiting some of the city’s celebrated attractions.

Day 8: Train to Edinburgh
Next on our itinerary is a train ride to Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital known for its stunning landscapes and rich heritage.

Day 9: Exploring Edinburgh
We’ll dedicate a full day to exploring Edinburgh’s iconic sites, perhaps taking in the breathtaking views from Arthur’s Seat or wandering through the historic Royal Mile.

Days 10-11: Scenic Drive to Portree and Isle of Skye
Instead of rushing through, I’m tempted to head towards the enchanting Isle of Skye, allowing us the time to experience its stunning beauty. We’ll spend a day touring this remarkable area, taking in the landscapes and perhaps enjoying a few outdoor activities.

Day 12: Return to Edinburgh
Following our adventure on Skye, we’ll drive back to Edinburgh, giving ourselves a chance to reflect on our journey.

Day 13: Off to Ireland
Finally, we’ll conclude our UK adventures with a flight to Ireland, where we’ll spend approximately a week exploring its own wonders.

As we finalize these details, I hope this
