[Please ignore my plating] Finally had D&K Gambian rotisserie, it was amazing

Discovering D&K Gambian Rotisserie: A Flavourful Culinary Experience

Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying authentic Gambian cuisine from D&K Rotisserie, and I must say, the experience was truly exceptional. While I kindly ask that you overlook my presentation skills, as my plating was modest, the flavors certainly did not disappoint.

During this visit, I selected their signature roasted chicken served with seasoned potatoes, priced at £11, alongside a delectable serving of Jollof rice accompanied by fresh vegetables, which cost £6.50. Both dishes were bursting with rich, bold flavors, featuring generous hints of garlic, ginger, and a complex blend of spices that are difficult to precisely identify but undeniably delicious.

The meal was ample enough to comfortably feed two people, with the added bonus of tasty leftovers to enjoy later. The emphasis on vibrant, robust flavors makes D&K Gambian Rotisserie a standout choice for those seeking authentic West African cuisine.

Please note that, at their Forest Gate location on Saturdays, there is no seating available, so I took my meal to-go. The chef operates from Stratford during the weekdays, likely at an outdoor market on Broadway, where I look forward to exploring their offerings again.

  1. Such a Great Review of D&K Gambian Rotisserie!

As a fellow London resident and lover of diverse cuisines, I really appreciate your detailed experience. It’s always refreshing to hear about authentic African flavors being enjoyed right here in our city. The mention of their use of bold spices like garlic, ginger, and complex seasoning blends really highlights the depth of their dishes.

Additionally, since their Forest Gate location on Saturdays is takeaway-only, it might be worth checking out if they offer any seasonal specials or sides that could further enhance the meal experience. Exploring their Stratford location during the weekdays sounds like another great idea to enjoy more of their offerings fresh and in a different setting.
