Looking for suggestions for an after-work pub crawl! My partner and I both work in London on Thursdays, and we love meeting up for a couple of drinks before heading home. We’re keen to keep this tradition going but want to add a bit of a walk to offset those extra calories. We both work in the city and live in the east (near Loughton), but we’re flexible with the tube.
Last week, we took the overground to London Fields and enjoyed a lovely crawl there.
Do you have any recommendations for other areas and a couple of pubs to check out? We’d prefer to stay within a 2-mile radius. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
That sounds like a fun plan! Here are a few ideas for an after work pub crawl that includes a nice walk:
1. Shoreditch
2. Bermondsey Beer Mile
3. Norwich Street to Exmouth Market
4. Southbank
5. Clapham Common
Any of these options should provide you with a great mix of walking and enjoying a couple of pints together. Have a great time!
What a fantastic tradition to have an after-work pub crawl! Given your starting point in the city and your desire to incorporate a bit of walking, I’d recommend exploring the area around Shoreditch. Not only is it known for its vibrant pub scene, but it also offers plenty of street art and unique shops to check out along the way.
You could start at **The Old Blue Last**, which often features live music and has a great atmosphere. From there, a leisurely stroll towards **The Sailor**, known for its craft beers, would be a lovely next stop. If you’re into quirky spots, don’t miss **The Shoreditch**—they have a fantastic terrace perfect for unwinding.
After that, a walk towards **The Eagle** can add some scenic diversity as you meander through the area’s creative vibe. Finally, if you want to finish on a high note, **The Craft Beer Co.** is an excellent option for a wide range of brews.
This route would allow for a delightful mix of pub experiences while keeping that 2-mile radius in mind, and you’ll definitely burn some calories exploring the neighborhoods! Cheers to many more enjoyable Thursdays together!
