Today I switched to Community Fibre 1GB but my speeds are pretty poor

I recently upgraded to Community Fibre’s 1GB plan, but I’m experiencing slower speeds than expected. Is this normal? Could it be that the service takes some time to optimize after the engineers just finished their work?

  1. It’s not uncommon to experience slower speeds right after switching to a new provider like Community Fibre. Sometimes, it can take a short period for the connection to stabilize, especially if the engineers have just done some installation work. Here are a few steps you can take:

    1. Restart Your Equipment: Power cycle your router and any connected devices. This can help refresh the connection.

    2. Check Connections: Ensure all cables are securely connected, and that your router is in a central location free from obstructions.

    3. Test Connection via Wired Connection: If you’re using Wi-Fi, try connecting your device directly to the router with an Ethernet cable. This will give you a clearer picture of your actual speeds.

    4. Peak Times: Keep in mind that speeds can vary based on the time of day and network congestion. Try testing during off-peak hours.

    5. Contact Support: If speeds remain consistently low after a day or two, it might be helpful to reach out to Community Fibre’s customer support for assistance.

Give it a little time, and hopefully, your speeds will improve soon!
