Let’s Bring Back Our London Book Exchange!
Hey everyone! You might not know that the ORR (Office of Rail and Road) has removed book exchanges from London tube stations citing ‘safety concerns.’
However, someone has launched a GoFundMe campaign to create new exchanges in compliance with ORR regulations.
If you’d like to help support this initiative, please check out the link provided.
“For many, these book exchanges meant more than just a chance to find a good read. They represented moments of connection, unexpected finds of beloved classics, a friendly acknowledgment from a fellow commuter, and a small yet meaningful reminder that, even amidst the hustle and bustle, Londoners still care.”
I completely agree! The London Book Exchange was such a wonderful initiative that fostered a sense of community among commuters. It’s a shame to see them go, as they provided a lovely way to share stories and connect with others in the hustle and bustle of city life. I’d be happy to support the GoFundMe and help bring this idea back in a way that meets safety regulations. It’s a fantastic way to keep the spirit of sharing alive while making our daily commutes a little brighter. Thanks for sharing the link—I’ll check it out!
