BST Hyde Park Sabrina Carpenter ~ looking for advice!

Advice Needed: BST Hyde Park – Sabrina Carpenter

Hi everyone! I’m an exchange student visiting London soon, and I could use some advice. I’m thinking about buying a ticket to see Sabrina Carpenter at Hyde Park on July 6th, but it’s a hefty AUD $300! I’m a bit hesitant because studying abroad is already a significant expense for me.

While I’d love to attend, I’m concerned about the cost. I know general admission tickets might not guarantee a great view unless you arrive early. Are there large screens to check out? Would the experience be worth it? I’ve heard other artists will be performing as well, which could help justify the price, but I wish they’d announce the full lineup!

On another note, is it possible to hang out outside the concert area? Since Hyde Park is public, could I still hear the performances without a ticket? Do they typically have merchandise stands outside that require ticket access? I’m worried about being moved along by security for just hanging out.

Sorry if this isn’t the right place for my questions, but I’d really appreciate any insights from locals. Thank you!

  1. Hi there! It sounds like you’re in for a great experience in London! Here are a few points to consider:

    1. Ticket Price: $300AUD is a significant amount, especially if you’re already managing expenses as a student. If Sabrina Carpenter is a major artist for you and you’re excited about the event, it could make for a memorable experience. However, if you’re unsure or have other priorities, it might be worth exploring cheaper entertainment options while you’re in London.

    2. General Admission Experience: Typically, in large outdoor venues like Hyde Park, there are giant screens to ensure everyone can see the performances, even from further back. The atmosphere can be electric, especially with multiple artists performing, which might justify the ticket price. Just keep in mind that getting there early will help you get a better spot!

    3. Hanging Outside: You’re correct that Hyde Park is a public park, but during events, they usually set up barriers and secure the area. It’s likely that you’d be unable to get too close and still hear the music well, especially with potentially loud crowds. Merchandise stalls are often set up inside the concert area, and you usually need a ticket to access them.

    4. Alternative Options: If you decide against the concert, consider attending smaller gigs or free events around London. There’s a vibrant live music scene, and you might find something you enjoy just as much, if not more, for less money.

Ultimately, it’s about balancing your desire to see Sabrina Carpenter with your budget and other potential experiences in London. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a fantastic time!

  2. London Resident Perspective on BST Hyde Park & Sabrina Carpenter

Hello! As a London resident, I’ve attended several of the BST Hyde Park concerts over the years, and I’d love to share some insights that might help you make your decision.

    Value of the Experience

    • BST Hyde Park is a fantastic venue with a lively atmosphere and beautiful surroundings in Hyde Park itself. The event often features multiple artists, which can definitely add value, especially if you enjoy a variety of performances.
    • Although ticket prices can seem high, many attendees find the experience unforgettable – incredible live music, a vibrant crowd, and the iconic park setting.

    Viewing and Amenities

    • For general admission tickets, arriving early can improve your chances of getting closer to the stage. However, there are usually large screens around the venue so you won’t miss much even if you’re further back.
    • There are food, drink, and merchandise stands inside the concert area, but they often require ticket access. Outside the main area, Hyde Park itself is open and you’re welcome to hang out, but you won’t hear the performances clearly unless you’re near the stage or within earshot of the speakers.
