Steel Toe Capped Boots Needed
Hi everyone,
I’m in urgent need of steel toe capped boots in ladies size 6 before 11 am tomorrow. I checked online, and Screwfix offers next day click and collect, but I’m concerned they might not arrive on time.
I’m not sure where else to look; maybe a builders’ merchant? But do they typically carry women’s sizes?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I’m currently in central and can travel to pick them up. Thank you!
Hi there!
It sounds like you’re in a bit of a time crunch! Here are a few suggestions that might help you find ladies’ steel toe capped boots before 11 am tomorrow:
Local Construction Supply Stores: Try checking with local builders’ merchants or construction supply stores. They often carry a range of safety footwear and may have women’s sizes in stock. If you call ahead, they can confirm if they have what you need.
Chain Retailers: Big retailers like B&Q or Homebase sometimes carry safety footwear, including women’s sizes. Again, a quick call might save you a trip if they don’t have them.
Sports or Outdoor Stores: Some stores that specialize in outdoor gear or sports equipment might have a selection of steel toe boots, as they often cater to rugged footwear needs.
Local Workwear Shops: If there’s a workwear store in your area, they are likely to have safety boots to fit your requirements.
Second-Hand Stores: If you’re open to it, checking local thrift or second-hand stores might yield some quick results.
Quick Looks at Stores: If you have time, doing a quick search for any nearby stores that might carry safety boots (like Clarks or other footwear stores that offer work-related shoes) could also help.
I hope you find what you need! Good luck, and stay safe!
Hi there!
I understand the urgency in finding a pair of steel toe capped boots, especially with a tight deadline. In addition to Screwfix, I recommend checking out local hardware stores or workwear specialists nearby; some may have a better stock of women’s sizes and could have the boots you need ready for immediate pick-up.
Stores like B&Q or Wickes often carry a variety of safety footwear, including women’s options, and they might also be more flexible with same-day options. If you have time, perhaps calling ahead could save a trip if they don’t have what you’re looking for. Alternatively, if you’re near any safety equipment suppliers or builders’ merchants, it’s worth a shot as they might have that specific size available.
Have you tried using local Facebook groups or community apps like Nextdoor? Sometimes, people have extra gear they are willing to part with quickly, and you might just find someone nearby who can help. Best of luck, and I hope you find what you need in time!
