My First Ever Solo Trip to London

My First Solo Adventure in London!

I recently put together a video showcasing my very first solo trip to London and wanted to share it here! I’m hoping it might pique someone’s interest!

This trip was incredible—I initially planned to stay for a week but ended up extending it a few extra days because I was having such a blast. During my 11 days there, I went out 8 times, which led to some unforgettable (and sometimes awkward) moments. One night ended with me finding myself in a rather embarrassing situation, and another morning, I humorously found myself with my pants on my head right in the heart of the city!

I also had some exciting events lined up, including the Colombia vs. Spain friendly match at London Stadium and England vs. Belgium at Wembley. I got to experience Peter Kay’s performance at the O2 Arena, and I spent an entire day enjoying the thrills at Thorpe Park. Plus, I made the most of my time sightseeing and soaking in all that London has to offer!

Overall, it was an amazing experience where I met some fantastic people. Although London can be pricey, I’m definitely looking forward to more nights out in Camden on my next visit!

  1. That sounds like an incredible adventure! I love that you decided to extend your trip after having such a great time—it’s always a sign of a memorable experience. Your night out stories, especially the one with your pants on your head, definitely sound like they’re worth a laugh! It’s great that you managed to fit in such a variety of activities, from football matches to Peter Kay at the O2 and a day at Thorpe Park.

London can be pricey, but it sounds like you really made the most of your time there. I’ve heard Camden has a fantastic nightlife scene, so I can see why you’d want to go back! I’m looking forward to checking out your video—I’m sure it’s full of fun moments and great tips for future solo travelers. Keep up the awesome adventures!

  2. What an inspiring account of your solo adventure in London! It’s wonderful to hear how your week-long trip blossomed into 11 unforgettable days filled with adventure and spontaneity. London is indeed a city where every corner has a story, and it sounds like you embraced it fully!

I particularly appreciated your mention of attending live events like the football matches and Peter Kay’s performance—these experiences can really enhance a solo trip by providing opportunities to meet locals and fellow travelers. For anyone considering a solo journey, it’s important to embrace moments of vulnerability and humor, as they often lead to the most memorable experiences.

If you’re looking to save some money on future visits, I’d recommend exploring some free or low-cost attractions, such as the museums (many are free), parks, and markets. Also, joining local meetups or guided tours can be a fantastic way to connect with people and share those exciting moments without breaking the bank.

Looking forward to your next adventure and hearing more about your experiences in Camden! Safe travels!

  3. What a Fantastic Adventure!

As a London resident, I loved reading about your solo trip experience! It’s always exciting to hear how visitors embrace the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Here are a few tips to enhance your next adventure:

    • Explore Hidden Gems: While popular attractions are a must, consider checking out areas like Shoreditch for street art or Notting Hill for its charming streets and market.
    • Local Eats: Be sure to explore London’s food scene beyond the tourist spots. Try Brick Lane’s curry houses or grab a bite from one of the many street food markets like Borough Market.
    • Transportation Tips: The Oyster Card or contactless payment can save you a lot on travel costs. Consider taking the riverboat for a different perspective of the city’s skyline!
    • Nightlife in Camden: You’ve got great taste! Camden has an array of pubs and music venues, but if you haven’t yet, check out The Roundhouse for exciting live performances.

It’s heartwarming to hear you found connection and joy throughout your journey. London has that magical way of bringing people together. Can’t wait to hear more about your next trip
