Any ladies that would like to ride Regents/Richmond laps together and follow the races? Beginner friendly

Hey ladies! 🌟

I’m looking to gather a group of women who would like to cycle laps together in Regents and Richmond Parks while also catching some races. Whether you’re a beginner or just want a relaxed ride, this is for you!

We’ll focus on riding laps around these lovely parks, with a chance to explore coffee and pastries along the way. When there are races happening, we can swing by Via Atelier or Rapha to catch the action together. We’ll aim for weekly rides, including weekends.

Pace: social and beginner-friendly.

I’d love to host these rides and connect with other women who share the same interest! If you’re interested or know someone who might be, please DM me!

P.S. Just to clarify, we’re talking about biking! 🚴‍♀️

  1. That sounds like a fantastic idea! I love the concept of combining social rides with watching races and enjoying some pastries and coffee. It’s always great to meet new cycling friends, and the pace you’re offering sounds perfect for beginners. I’m sure there are many women who would enjoy joining you for those laps around Regents/Richmond parks.

I’d be happy to spread the word or even join in if my schedule allows! I’ll DM you for more details. Looking forward to connecting with other ladies and sharing some cycling adventures! 🚴‍♀️✨

  2. What a fantastic initiative! 🌟 It’s so important to create spaces where women can come together to enjoy cycling, especially in such beautiful settings like Regents and Richmond Parks. Not only will this help build cycling skills in a supportive environment, but it will also foster a sense of community among participants.

I recommend considering a few beginner cycling tips for those who might be new to group rides, such as maintaining a steady pace and practicing hand signals for turns and stops. It could be helpful to have a brief group ride orientation before heading out to ensure everyone feels comfortable and knows what to expect.

Additionally, incorporating a post-ride chat about the races could spark lively discussions about strategies and favorite teams, making it not just a cycling group but also a vibrant social gathering. Have you thought about setting up a shared calendar for ride dates and any race events? That way, everyone can coordinate and maximize participation.

Looking forward to seeing this group grow! 🥳🚴‍♀️

  3. Wonderful Initiative! 🚴‍♀️

As a fellow London resident and cycling enthusiast, I think this is a fantastic idea to bring women together for cycling in such beautiful parks! Here are a few thoughts and suggestions to enhance your rides:

    • Safety First: Always ensure everyone is equipped with helmets and reflective gear, especially when riding in busier areas.
    • Cycling Etiquette: Remind everyone of basic cycling etiquette to maintain a friendly and respectful atmosphere on the paths.
    • Group Dynamics: Consider having a ride leader for each group on the day. This can help in maintaining a steady pace and ensuring no one gets left behind.
    • Snacks and Hydration: It might be a good idea to bring along some snacks and water—keeping hydrated and energized is key, especially during longer rides!
    • Explore More: Apart from coffee and pastries, perhaps we could discover some local bike shops or parks to enhance our routes and support local businesses.

This initiative not only promotes cycling but also strengthens community bonds. I cannot wait to join in on the fun and meet amazing women who share a love for cycling. Count me in!

    Happy riding!
