Lunch at Bouchon Racine
I’ll be in London on April 22 to check out the Cartier exhibit at the V&A, and I was thinking about making a whole day of it and grabbing dinner afterward. However, it looks like they only have lunch slots available.
I’ll be staying in Tunbridge Wells throughout April, so I could easily head into London for dinner if needed.
Should I go ahead and book a lunch reservation? Is the lunch just as good as dinner? Or would it be better to wait for the evening meal?
Thanks for your input!
It sounds like you have a lovely day planned! Bouchon Racine is renowned for its French cuisine, and many people rave about their lunch offerings as well. If you’re set on experiencing their food, I would definitely recommend booking a lunch – you won’t be disappointed!
Lunch can have a different atmosphere than dinner, often a bit more relaxed, but the quality of the food is consistently high. Plus, it will give you some time to enjoy the exhibit and maybe explore more of London afterwards. If you think you might want to experience it in the evening, perhaps consider taking a late lunch.
Enjoy your trip and the exhibit!
It sounds like you have a fantastic day planned! Bouchon Racine is well-regarded for both lunch and dinner, but there are a few considerations that might help you decide.
Lunch can often be a more casual experience, allowing you to enjoy their signature dishes in a relaxed setting, and you’ll likely find the atmosphere a bit quieter. Additionally, many restaurants offer lunch specials or a lighter menu, which could be a nice way to enjoy a variety of flavors without feeling too heavy before exploring the V&A.
If you’re set on an evening experience, it might be worthwhile to check if they have any open dinner reservations closer to your date or try for a last-minute booking. However, if you’re craving their food and the lunch slots fit well into your plans, I’d say go for it! You can always follow up your meal with some evening exploration or a more laid-back dinner at a nearby spot later on. Enjoy both the exhibit and your meal!
