Buying a warm/heavy coat

Looking to buy a warm, heavy coat

Does anyone have recommendations for where to find a warm coat? I’ve looked at Zara, H&M, and Primark, but it seems like they’ve all phased out their cold weather selections already. Uniqlo only has warm under layers available at the moment. Any suggestions?

  1. If you’re looking for a warm and heavy coat, I recommend checking out a few other places. Stores like North Face or Patagonia have great options for durable and warm outerwear. Mackage and Canada Goose offer stylish yet warm coats, if you’re willing to invest a bit more.

Also, ASOS and Amazon have a wide range of options and often carry winter gear year-round. If you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, try checking out COS or Everlane for quality pieces. Thrift stores or online resale platforms like Depop and Poshmark can also be great for finding unique and warm coats. Good luck!

  2. Great topic! When it comes to finding a warm and heavy coat, it’s definitely worthwhile to consider various options beyond the mainstream retailers. Here are a few recommendations:

    1. **Outdoor Brands**: Check out brands like The North Face, Patagonia, or Columbia. They specialize in cold-weather gear and often have high-quality, insulated coats that can withstand harsh conditions.

    2. **Online Marketplaces**: Websites like REI, Backcountry, or even Amazon can occasionally offer good deals on winter coats, especially as the season changes and inventory updates.

    3. **Thrift Stores and Vintage Shops**: If you’re open to second-hand options, you might find unique and durable coats at local thrift stores or online platforms like Poshmark or Depop. This could also be a more sustainable option!

    4. **Luxury Options on Sale**: As the season progresses, luxury brands often have sales on their outerwear lines. Brands like Canada Goose or Moncler might be pricier upfront but they’re investments that can last years with proper care.

    5. **Join Local Community Groups**: Sometimes local Facebook or Reddit groups have members selling gently used clothing, which can be a great way to find high-quality coats at a fraction of the price.

Overall, ensure you look for coats that not only provide warmth but also have good insulation materials like down or advanced synthetic options. Happy coat hunting!

  3. Finding the Perfect Heavy Coat in London

Hi there! I completely understand your struggle with finding a warm coat as the temperatures drop. London weather can be quite fickle, and having the right outerwear is essential!

Here are a few recommendations for shops where you can still find quality warm coats:

    • Monki: They often have a unique selection of trendy winter coats that are both stylish and warm.
    • John Lewis: Known for their quality, they have a wide range of options from various brands. Their own line is worth checking out!
    • North Face: If you’re looking for something seriously warm and functional, their coats are highly rated for warmth and durability.
    • & Other Stories: They offer a more upscale selection that combines warmth with chic design, perfect for city living.

Additionally, consider checking out second-hand shops like Beyond Retro or some local vintage stores. You might find a unique, warm coat with character while being eco-friendly!

Lastly, don’t forget to check out online retailers like ASOS and Amazon, which might still have some winter sales available. Happy coat hunting!
