Could London Actually Be Better Than You Think?

Perhaps London isn’t as bleak as I thought.

I captured this moment today at Blackfriars.

It’s funny, just before filming, I was venting to some friends about how lifeless London has felt in recent years. We parted ways, and as I made my way to the train station to head home, I stumbled upon a group of teenage punks—around 15 or 16 years old—calling themselves ‘The Chalamets,’ having an impromptu jam session.

I couldn’t help but laugh. Maybe London isn’t as devoid of character as I believed. Perhaps I’ve just become desensitized to its energy amid the bustling crowds and daily stress.

Listening to these kids passionately and unapologetically live out their garage-band fantasy gave me a renewed sense of hope for the future of London.
