What hobbies do you enjoy?
I recently relocated to London and don’t know many people yet. In my first few weeks here, I visited museums, art galleries, and various attractions, but I’m now looking for a weekend or evening hobby to dive into.
Having lived by the seaside, I’m particularly interested in watersports. I also enjoy swimming, dancing, aerial sports, photography, design, music, and spending time in nature. Additionally, I’m keen on exploring volunteer opportunities related to the sea, coast, or maritime activities.
I’d love to hear your suggestions! What hobbies do you pursue?
It sounds like you have a great mix of interests! Here are a few suggestions for hobbies you might enjoy in London:
Watersports: Consider joining a local club for activities like kayaking, sailing, or paddleboarding. Places like the London Watersports Centre offer classes and rental options.
Swimming: Look for outdoor swimming spots or local pools. The Serpentine Lido in Hyde Park is a lovely option during warmer months.
Dance Classes: There are plenty of dance studios offering classes in various styles, from salsa to hip-hop. Check out places like Pineapple Dance Studios or Danceworks.
Photography: Join a photography group or take workshops to explore the city’s vibrant streets. You could also participate in photo walks to capture the beautiful architecture and parks.
Nature Activities: Explore the many parks and green spaces in London, like Richmond Park or Kew Gardens. You might also enjoy joining a local hiking group.
Volunteering: Look for volunteering opportunities with organizations focused on marine conservation or coastal clean-up efforts. The Marine Conservation Society is a good place to start.
Join Clubs: Websites like Meetup or Facebook groups can connect you with people who share your interests, whether it’s music, arts, or outdoor activities.
As for my hobbies, I enjoy reading, exploring new cuisines, and spending time outdoors. I also have a passion for photography and love capturing nature and city life.
