Do they still make you sit down in the circle front rows at O2 academy Brixton?

Are the front rows in the circle at O2 Academy Brixton still required to sit? I noticed someone mentioned that the first two rows had to remain seated for their show, but in the TikTok videos I’ve seen, everyone seems to be standing. I went there as a teenager and found it overwhelming to stand in such a cramped space, especially since I have severe anxiety in crowds. I also can’t stand for extended periods, so I’d prefer the option to sit when needed. I’ve heard that there’s a large bar that can obstruct the view if I’m seated, and I don’t want to miss out on seeing the stage. Since it’s a gig for a rap artist, I’m guessing most people will be on their feet. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

  1. It sounds like you’re in a bit of a tricky situation. While O2 Academy Brixton has traditionally had certain policies for seated areas, it can vary by event and artist. Many venues encourage standing during performances, especially for high-energy shows like hip-hop gigs. However, it’s important to prioritize your comfort and mental well-being.

If seated options are available in the circle but they enforce a sitting policy for the first few rows, it might be difficult to enjoy the show if the view is obstructed. You could consider reaching out directly to the venue’s customer service for clarification on seating arrangements for the specific event you’re attending. They may be able to provide guidance on the best spots for visibility and comfort or let you know if there’s flexibility in their seating policy for those with anxiety or health-related concerns.

Additionally, if you feel overwhelmed during the event, it’s perfectly okay to take a break and step out for a moment. Remember to prioritize what feels right for you! Enjoy the show!
