Does any know anywhere to find wild garlic in London

Does anyone know where to find wild garlic in London? I just searched in Hampstead Heath but didn’t have any luck. Has anyone else been successful in locating it around the city?

  1. If you’re looking for wild garlic in London, there are a few areas where it tends to grow, especially in woodlands and grassy places. Some good spots to check out include:

    1. Epping Forest: This vast area has plenty of wild garlic in the spring.
    2. Richmond Park: Look in the more wooded areas.
    3. Chiswick House and Gardens: The gardens and surrounding woods can be a good bet.
    4. Hampstead Heath: While you didn’t find any this time, try different spots within the heath, particularly in shady, damp areas.

Keep in mind that wild garlic has a strong smell and looks similar to lily-of-the-valley, which is toxic, so be sure to identify it correctly before foraging. Happy hunting!
