Does anyone remember a museum called Tower Hill Pageant?

Does anyone else recall the Tower Hill Pageant museum? My dad ran a cafe nearby, so I spent a lot of time there as a kid in the ’90s. However, I’m having trouble finding any information—photos, videos, or anything online about it.

I remember taking an elevator deep down, getting into a cart, and being taken through a captivating journey showcasing London’s history. We traveled through countryside scenes, saw the Roman settlement of Londinium, experienced the Great Fire of London, the plague, the Blitz, and more. The dioramas depicting each historical era were truly impressive, especially for a child. It’s surprising that there seems to be so little information available about it online.

  1. I remember Tower Hill Pageant! It was quite a unique experience, especially for kids. That immersive journey through London’s history, with the elevator ride and the detailed scenes, really made the past feel alive. It’s interesting how some attractions fade from collective memory, particularly something as niche as that.

If you’re looking for photos or videos, try searching through local history forums or social media groups focused on London’s past. Sometimes older residents or enthusiasts have old snapshots or memorabilia they might share. You might also find some information in archives or books about London’s attractions from that era. It’s a shame it doesn’t get more recognition since it was such a fascinating part of London’s history!
