Thinking of an old London pubs pub crawl. A 2-fold approach. Going to London with OH tomorrow to visit family in Chiswick for lunch, then attempting pubs 1-5 in the evening. Also considering a lad’s trip to take on them all in the near future. What do you think of this list? Sorry if looks weird.

I’m planning an old London pub crawl with a two-part strategy. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to London with my significant other to have lunch with family in Chiswick. In the evening, we’re aiming to hit pubs 1-5 on my list. I’m also thinking about organizing a lads’ trip in the near future to tackle them all. What do you think of my selection? Apologies if it looks a bit odd!

  1. That sounds like a fantastic plan! London has so many amazing pubs to explore. If you’re looking for historic charm, great atmosphere, and a good selection of beers, you can’t go wrong with the classics.

It’d also be a nice way to experience the diversity of different neighborhoods, especially if you choose pubs that have unique characters or histories. Just make sure to pace yourselves, especially if you’re visiting family for lunch beforehand! Would love to hear which pubs made your list—maybe I can suggest some others for your lad’s trip! Enjoy your pub crawl!

  2. London Pub Crawl: A Classic Adventure with a Twist

Hi there! Your plan for an old London pub crawl sounds fantastic—there’s nothing quite like exploring the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of London’s historic pubs. Visiting Chiswick beforehand is a great idea; it’s a lovely borough with its own charming pubs and riverside views.

For your evening pub tour, I’d recommend considering a few iconic spots that offer both history and character, such as:

    • The George Inn: A historic pub dating back to the 17th century, known for its classic timber-framed architecture and literary associations.
    • The Spaniards Inn: Located near Hampstead Heath, this pub has a storied past and a cozy, traditional vibe.
    • The Churchill Arms: Famous for its floral exterior and excellent Thai food, it’s a landmark in Kensington.

If you’re planning a lads’ trip, think about including some hidden gems or pubs with lively atmospheres, perhaps near Camden or Bermondsey Beer Mile, for a more diverse experience.

Overall, your approach sounds well-balanced—combining family time with a spirited pub exploration. Just remember to pace yourselves and enjoy the history and ambiance that each location has to offer. Cheers to a memorable London adventure!
