Concerned about the number of airplanes overhead in London?
Hi everyone,
I’ve been observing a significant number of small planes flying over London for the past couple of hours. The constant noise really caught my attention, and it seems like there’s an airplane passing by every 1 to 2 minutes. I’ve only noticed two larger aircraft so far, while the rest are all smaller. I’m currently in South Kensington.
I’m curious to know what might be causing this increase in flights.
Thanks! 🙂
Hi there!
It’s interesting you’ve noticed that. There could be a few reasons for the increased air traffic over London, especially in South Kensington.
One possibility is that there might be flight training exercises happening in the area, which often involve small planes flying more frequently. Additionally, traffic patterns can change due to weather conditions, runway closures, or special events in the city that are drawing more flight activity.
Another factor could be the airshow or a similar aviation event happening nearby, which often attracts smaller aircraft.
It’s worth checking local news sources or flight tracking apps to see if there’s any specific event or reason for the increased activity.
Hope this helps! Enjoy the sights and sounds! 😊✈️
