What happened to the Lime bikes?
They’ve completely vanished from Waterloo station and have been swapped out for Forest bikes. The same is true in Covent Garden. Is this change happening in other areas, or is it just these two locations where I typically ride Lime Bikes?
I’ve looked for discussions on this but couldn’t find any information. It seems like Lime may have lost the parking rights in the places I frequent, but I’m curious why Forest now has those same rights.
It seems like you’ve noticed a significant change in bike availability in your usual areas! Lime and other e-bike companies often have to negotiate agreements with local authorities for parking and operational rights, so it’s possible that Lime lost those rights in favor of Forest in those specific locations.
This kind of shift can happen for various reasons, such as changes in city contracts, feedback from users, or even business decisions made by the companies themselves. It’s not uncommon for cities to experiment with different providers to see which offers the best service or meets their needs more effectively.
If you’re curious about whether this is happening elsewhere or if it’s a broader trend, you might want to check local news sources or community forums. You could also reach out directly to Lime or Forest for more specific information about the changes in service. In the meantime, hopefully you’ll find Forest bikes to be a good alternative!
