Just a Little Time in London on October 26 – Booked Some Places, Let Me Know If I Made Any Mistakes :)

Exploring London: A Brief Itinerary and Accommodations

As my upcoming trip to London approaches, I’ve carefully curated a few plans for my stay on October 26th. I’d love to hear your thoughts on my choices and whether I’ve hit or missed the mark!

My primary reason for visiting is to catch a show at the O2 Arena, and after some consideration, I decided to book accommodations above a lively pub for that night. I believe this could provide a fun and local experience, complementing my evening plans.

In addition to the pub stay, I’ve also arranged lodgings at several charming locations: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone. Each of these spots has its unique character, and I’m eager to explore these vibrant neighborhoods during my short visit.

I’m typically a sound sleeper, so I don’t anticipate the noise being an issue. However, I am open to suggestions or any advice on whether these choices align well with my itinerary.

Thank you in advance for your insights and guidance! I’m excited about my upcoming adventure and appreciate your time in helping me refine my plans.

  1. Great itinerary! As a London resident, I’d love to share a few tips to enhance your visit.

Firstly, staying above a lively pub can definitely add to the local vibe, but if you value a peaceful night’s sleep, you might want to check the pub’s noise levels or consider earplugs — they can be quite effective!

Notting Hill, Belgravia, and Marylebone each showcase London’s diverse character. While in Notting Hill, don’t miss the Portobello Road Market for vintage finds and street food. Belgravia offers elegant streets and hidden gardens; a nice walk around Eaton Square is quite charming. Marylebone is perfect for boutique shopping and the Wallace Collection if you’re into art.

    Regarding your accommodations:

    • The Princess Royal in Notting Hill is a lovely choice; the area is lively and full of charming cafes.
    • The Orange in Belgravia offers a quintessentially upscale experience, close to Buckingham Palace.
    • The Grazing Goat in Marylebone combines comfort with a vibrant neighborhood scene, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing.

Since your primary goal is the O2 Arena, consider planning a little buffer time for travel, especially during peak hours. The Jubilee line is usually reliable, but keep an eye on travel updates.
