Quick London Visit in October 2026 — Booking Some Spots, Want Feedback on My Plan :)

Exploring London: A Quick Stay with Unique Accommodations

As I prepare for a brief adventure in London this October 26, I’m excited to share my accommodation plans and would appreciate any feedback from fellow travelers. I’ll be attending a show at the O2 Arena and have opted for a unique lodging experience.

For my stay, I’ve booked a cozy room above The Pilot, which seems like a great spot for the evening. Additionally, I’ll be spending time at some charming venues: The Princess Royal in Notting Hill, The Orange in Belgravia, and The Grazing Goat in Marylebone.

I have always been a sound sleeper, so I don’t mind a bit of noise. Considering the brevity of my trip, I thought these snug, pub-adjacent rooms would offer a more intimate experience compared to larger hotels.

I would love to hear your thoughts on these choices. Are there any hidden gems or recommendations I might have missed? Thank you for taking the time to share your insights—I appreciate your help in making my London stay unforgettable!

  1. Excellent planning for a quick London trip!

It’s great to see you’re focusing on authentic and cozy experiences rather than just the typical hotel stay. Staying above The Pilot in Camden offers a genuine London pub atmosphere and easy access to a vibrant area.

Since you’ll be at the O2 Arena, I recommend exploring Greenwich nearby — it’s a charming area with beautiful riverside views, the Cutty Sark, and the Royal Observatory. It’s perfect for a relaxed afternoon after your show.

    Regarding your chosen venues:

    • The Princess Royal in Notting Hill is a classic choice, especially if you enjoy its laid-back, artsy vibe.
    • The Orange in Belgravia offers a more upscale experience, ideal if you’re seeking a refined pub environment.
    • The Grazing Goat in Marylebone combines a good mix of quality food and a lively atmosphere, perfect for unwinding.

    For hidden gems, consider visiting:

    • The Spaniards Inn in Hampstead — a historic pub with literary connections and a cozy ambiance.
    • Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese — one of London’s oldest pubs, located near Fleet Street, steeped in history.

Lastly, if you have some free time, a walk through Hampstead Heath or a visit to Regent
